Volume Three (not written yet)

Volume three, As I Have Loved You. Relationships in Recovery represents acknowledgement and attention to the relationship realities of addiction. Inexplicably and regrettably, all too often presentations on addiction and prevailing models for treatment are nearly exclusively individual in their focus. All too often, spouses and family members are quite neglected. Yet, unequivocally, addiction is a family problem, and a relationship problem, not merely an individual one!

Thus, relationships in recovery is first about healing relationships and individuals collaterally injured by addiction, and then about organizing those relationships to sustain recovery. Relationships sponsoring recovery also have a role to play in the restoration of moral agency for the addicted person.
